met a hb8 at a bar over the weekend and talked to her for close to an hour before getting her number. anyways a couple days i texted her that it was nice talking to her the other night and that i was the dashingly handsome guy from the smoking patio in case she didn't remember. Anyways she never responded and i just wanted to know what you guys think. I've never tried using that text before but i thought it would be a good one and still kinda do. Keep in mind i was drunk when i met her and she was sober so i'm not sure if it was maybe something I did that night that resulted in the no-response but i did end up getting her number..

Cause you got her number doesn't truthfully mean anything. Girls will give out their phone numbers because:

a.) self validation- They like the attention. As sad as it may sound, its 100% true that some girls just like the fact that they have a bunch of guys calling and texting them all the time. My ex (WHILE WE WERE DATING) would still go out and if a guy asked for her phone number, she would give it to him. Usually they would just creep her out and she would ignore them but she did it cause she likes the spotlight all the time.

b.) Too avoid an awkward situation- If you asked for her phone number, her saying yes, giving it to you, and avoiding future contact with her is a much easier thing to do for HER than to say no and sit there listening to some guy beg for her phone number that she is going to end up ignoring anyways.

A few pointers...
1. Don't get drunk... Some guys think the "Liquid Courage" helps over come approach anxiety but unfortunately, you can't direct alcohol towards the part of your brain that controls inhibitions. If you get drunk, it actually throws off your game because you aren't as socially aware or focused on what you are doing.

2. Don't even bother getting her phone number unless you have a Day 2 set up already... its pretty much asking for a flake and it will just keep taking a toll on your emotions cause you think you aren't doing things right. Focus on solid game instead of trying to get a phone number and dipset. If you play it right... She should be giving you her phone number with out you even asking.
