So, I made out with my female friend's friend who is a straight up 10/10. I'm usually hitting around the 7 mark with girls who are a little bit out there and usually open to my hippy values and [i]my[/i] slightly out there lifestyle. She is more typical super hot girl. (perhaps?) less interested in things like politics and philosophy...

She is used to constantly getting hit on and in fact the night I met her there was a guy who was on the same course as her and had been hitting on her non-stop. In typical cocky/funny, negging fashion. (she wasn't, and hasnt been for a while, interested in him apparently)

My issue is a) never having successfully got with a 10/10 - I'm not really sure what to do, other than not be too keen on her, and b) she obviously gets chatted up all the time - and presumably by people who consider themselves pua's.

She's initiated texts, and likes stuff on facebook etc - so I'm fairly sure she's interested - but then she ducks out of following up my text-flirting, and seems to stick to the normal "how are you" and "Oh my god, work was so boring".

To be honest I'm better at face-to-face than texting anyway - So i think i'll try and just initiate a date and see from there.

My main question is - do you have any advice for not being too keen, but then also not being too PUA with negs, and being cocky etc?

She may be interested (that's why she's initiating convos), but years of being pursued have programmed her to reject any conversation-starters that aren't interesting to her.

(HB10s have constant attention. "OMG you're so hot.")

Find what makes her tick and pique her interest.

Also, if you don't think you can hack it, one unique thing to try would be to friend-zone her. I've often wondered how an HB10 would respond to being "let's just be friends". It'd be especially interesting because she's giving you IOIs. You'd probably be the only guy to ever friend-zone her, which would probably short-circuit her brain (ironically making you more desirable).

i didn't try to friend-zone her - partly because, like most people here, that situation is far too annoying. instead, knowing that shes a friend of a friend, i invited her out with my friends (inc. our mutual one) so that she joins a social circle where I'm the centre.

She accepted, and I think its working - we've been texting all night tonight (her initiating again), and its been a little more flirty than before... so you never know.

but thanks for your advice - as far as texting, i basically went for a 'pretend i'm james bond thing' and said i was on a secret mission - it seemed to start the whole thing really well - so i think she is interested!
