So the conversation starts off cool, and such. She's freaking gorgeous, and seems to be very well articulated.

Come to find out, she's the singer of this local band that's been getting pretty big in VA beach.

Should I try to DHV and 1 up her?
I feel like she's trying to impress me by putting that out. So should I read into it as an IOI?
Straight up, I've been playing with small bits of gem in pubs and such, and suddenly I'm just thrown into this.

that line works fine. whatever you don't try and demonstrate value.. If she is qualifying for you why would you want to place her above you by competing for higher statuses. She is already looking to prove her status.

My bad, wasn't sure where to put it. The situation seemed critical at that moment.
About to try and close a date.
Was thinking the exact opposite of something impressive. A dive bar... I figure it shows that I'm not trying to impress her, despite who she is (non verbal DHV?)
And it serves as a steady environment that gives me the opportunity to sit back and just talk.
No pressure just beer and crooked pool tables.

Just go to a bar close to another bar close to somewhere else. go to multiple places... it's not about one location. Have a place with a pool table, with a pinball table, just go to multiple places. It creates multiple experiences in one day.

I don't recommend dive bars. Don't go to pristine places, solid places that have the environment of the mood you are looking for. So as the date escalates more and more intimate perhaps quieter place.

I was saying during this messaging shenanigans don't try and demonstrate value. When you meet in person that is a new start to the interaction.

I'm going to post my convo thus far in a separate post in online sarging. I'm pretty sure I was pretty solid throughout accept for a few screw ups that I managed to save.
I'm new and I'd like to gather some feedback, maybe clean it up a little bit.
