| I get what ur saying. These affirmations were popularized by Napoleon Hill and his Think and Grow Rich bestseller (awesome book btw), which in simple terms says, your mind projects your future. This feeds into self-fulfilling prophecies, The Secret, the placebo effect, etc.
I personally am a huge proponent of self-actualization. I have note cards I flip through every now and then that say things like, "I am unshakable," "Everyone likes me," "I'm happy, I'm healthy" etc. Brian Tracy, self-help guru, also recommends doing this.
It's great for confidence building. The idea is, you can program your sub-conscious for WHATEVER you want, and with enough repetition, you basically brainwash urself into believing it. And in turn, it becomes your reality. It's cool shit, and it works. Word.
Thanks Karma for re-shedding light on this concept. I don't use this for maintaining state, but I can see how it would work well for that. _________________ Make Moves
