Did you talk to her at all? Did you build any rapport during the face to face interaction?
Texting doesn't work like face to face interaction, obviously. Sometimes you can overcome boring conversation etc. with kino etc. to liven up the SPAM, but that gets a little tougher when its a text with limited visual cues.
So I think the key to any great text interaction is inside jokes. Similar to funny "pet names" being a great toold, inside jokes are even more intimate IMO. You ever reference something ultra vague to the common man but it triggers chuckles and eye contact with the person you have the joke with? This is an amazing way to bypass elongated isolation time.
How do you create inside jokes? Heres one example:
You: "Went to Applebees yesterday and saw a pregnant gremlin feasting on riblets."
Just give them something super graphic and funny to imagine and keep referencing it when you see her (to a degree, obviously).
Her: "OMG I'm so stressed out from finals, I feel so gross."
you: "ohh, so that was you at Applebees the other day?"
or
You: "I think a nice dinner at Applebees will make you feel better"
Hopefully you get the gist. Tying in funny topics like this with mundane life events always illicit some kind of laughter....unless she's totally not into you, then all of this doesn't sound as great.
Of course, examples like this dont apply to every situation or every girl. The point is that you should be creating rapport with who you are interested in by keeping touch on common topics to keep your text-relationship fresh.
I didnt talk to her much during the face to face interaction i just got in there and got out
