Guys,

Had a date with a girl on Monday evening - went great we talked lots, good body language, bit of contact - no kissing. I sent the text saying lovely evening, do it again soon.

She replied saying "had a lovely evening too, however, she had reservations that we don't have much in common...if at all!? xxx"

I said we'll wait until after you're back from skiing and we'll do it again. She said she has a one drink date policy... My response was "well my policy is two drink date policy, so we'd go with mine"

Any ideas on how I can turn this around and get her back on side? Don't really want to let this one go just yet!

You get punished for being a gentleman during your first meeting and not being a tarzan caveman crawling all over her. Might point this out to her thick skull if anything goes through it.

One drink policy? Statements like those are a violation of even the most basic common courtesy. You definitely should not reward that by showing further interest. If you do, you look like you have no self-dignity.

I think the one drink policy was her dry sense of humour - rather than a policy. She's certainly a 10 and don't want to let it go just yet. Just not sure best way to proceed....

First of all what is a one drink date? Does that mean she'll only go get a drink with you one time? Or she'll only order one drink when going out on a date?

Oh, and I always love the line "We don't have much in common." If the girl is a hot young christian model and the guy is an old Jewish doctor, she'll have no problem with their "differences" as long as he has money. Or if the girl is a white Kindertgarten teacher and the guy is a latin male stripper, she won't have any problems with their "differences" as long as he has a smokin' hot bod.

I mean heck, I'm sure her brother and her have a lot in common. Same parents, same upbringing, same hair color...The two of them could hook up and enjoy all of their wonderful commonalities together!
