Best way to come up with an opener is think how you'd like to be approached. That would reflect how you approach and come up with something natural along those lines.

Honestly, practice is the #1 things to do. Open poorly but calibrate with the conversation, alot of the practice will be on flirting, teasing and positive energy.

Cause is not something that comes naturally.
So instead of ask for an opener, just memorize one that you use most of the time, when you meet new people.

Mine is " Oh hey, I was over there with my friend and I notice your style and I find it interesting. My friends are too shy to come over. So I decide to break the glace. So who are you?"

Make it really simple cause the main part of the whole pickup is conversation and vibe. Approaching someone doesnt mean you are fucking them, simply because you are being social and outgoing.

Replace awesome for interesting or any other similar adjective. If your playful and indifferent, it won't really matter. To be honest, what you say in the opener means nothing compared to how you say it and the body language. Just because you say their totally awesome doesn't mean you think they're better do you? You could all be totally awesome people and that whole Idea of putting girls on a pedestal comes moreso down to how you come off rather than what you say.
That's why I say even try something like that.
Even just "hey, stop, you have adorable eyes, I have to meet you, what is your name?"
