Pivots and pawns

Hey guys,

So I'm just wondering how people move their pawns to open a new set. If the pawn was in a group of friends herself, won't it be difficult to drag her away from them to use her for the next set.
P.s. Would it be a good or bad idea to open the new set arm in arm with the pawn?

Also does anyone know any good ways to gain pivots for themselves....

Take part of the group, use the group to get her attention ;)
