It could be that they are honestly having a deep conversation and don't want to be disturbed. But that will be very uncommon. More than likely it means that your opener was weak and they are blowing you out.
Just smile and laugh and say, "Well then by all means, carry on ladies..." and walk away unfettered. Leave them with a good impression and try to reopen them later.

Posts: 10 | | Well it might not be a shit test, but i think there is definately a way to stay in set after hearing this. I don´t hear it often, in fact last weekend was the first time it happened to me. Really i don´t think it was because of my opening skills otherwise it would have happened to me before. It went like this:
Me: hey girls, i have a question for you
They: sory but we are kinda having a serious conversation right now
I think i could just ignore the fact that she said this to me and just throw my opener.
Like:
Me: hey girls, i have a question for you
They: sory but we are kinda having a serious conversation right now
Me: if a girl kisses another girl...
