I'm a little less than average height for a guy 5'8".

I've been using Match for a couple months and have noticed an interesting correlation. Of course there is always the normal height girls who like the 6-foot dudes and a lot of taller women of course prefer guys taller than themselves.

However, compared to women of average height let's say 5'3"-5'6" who often look for a guy 1-2" inches taller than themselves. A lot of short girls like 5'0-5'2" are "looking for" guys substantially taller for them usually >5'10". I'd say at higher proportion than their average height girlfriends they tend to have more of a preference for tall men.

Anyone else notice this?

I'm 5"8 too.

Most guys "prefer" large breasts, but you'd have to be crazy to turn down an otherwise gorgeous girl with slightly smaller breats, especially if she's a sweetheart. The same applies to guys with regards height.

Anyway, don't seek approval. By asking a girl if she cares about your height, or if she likes brown haired or blond haired guys etc, you are essentially trying to qualify yourself. It's her job to qualify herself to you, not the reverse. And she'll just say the opposite of what you are anyway, women will take any opportunity to disqualify you and cement herself as higher than you in the early going, this is why you mustn't give her the chance.

How have you been getting on? did you get any meets or numbers etc?

I don't really have an issue with my height. I was just observing a correlation that a lot of "short" girls tend to be concerned more about having a "tall" guy relative to the number of "average" height girls who have a broader range.

For example a 5'1" girl that wants a 5'11'-6'4". It could just be my imagination though.

In my experience, short girls DON'T want super tall guys. It's the taller girls- 5'10", say- who tend to want tall guys. For obvious reasons.

I'm average 5'8" asian, out of about hundred girls I approached, only 2-3 of them complained about the height. I usually just move on, people have their preferences for what they like, attraction isn't a choice.

Short girls want taller guys so they can give their kids the best odds of being normal height. Also, short girls are easier to pick on, so they tend to like the "protection" that taller guys offer.
At least that's what my short gf's have told me.

My girlfriend is 5'9' and i'm 5'7'. We've been together for almost 2 years now...

At first, off course it's hard to approach a taller girl but when she falls in love with your charm, forget about the tall, she'll always be there cleaning your shoes . At first my girl wasn't really sure about the tall and such, off course it's weird in the street when people sees us but who cares! Guys see you and are like "dang this small guy must be so good at picking up, look at this girl, she's tall and so fuckin hot!". haha

You want a taller girl? Try it, it does work very well..!

p.s. yes all girls want a taller man, same for my girl. but when it's done, you're fixed for the rest of your life! she won't care at all about the tall, it's just visual actually... i'm still the leader in the relationship!
