Meditation is simply being conscious of the unconscious. It just came to me.For newbies just close eyes and breathe deeply.Feeling your breath going in and out of your lungs, the rise and fall of your diaphram.
Sooner or later you will be in the zone so to speak. If your mind self chatters just ignore it.Observe and let it pass, don't analyse it.

Great advice about using the 5 senses.

To OP, since you seemed interested. What you seem to be seeking is called jhana in Buddhist texts. It is described as positive sensation while in a focus-meditation. It happens all the time, to novices and masters alike, and gurus had them even before Buddha.
And yet it was Buddha who said that jhanas were not the most important thing in achieving enlightenment. Much more important is to achieve mindfulness in every moment of one's life. It is not so important to lay down for 30 minutes a day to concentrate, as it is to concentrate at all moments of our chaotic existence.

Within a few days you will have reached this state several times, and you will be much better off than you were before. Within a couple of weeks you will be able to achieve the state at will, if you practice. It is easy to turn off one's mind.

In terms of pick up, it is important to be in the moment while talking to the girl. When she is speaking, focus on your ears and your eyes. This will allow you to non-judgmentally observe every signal she gives you. When she is done speaking, your mind will have a reaction. Observe the reaction, and if you like it, say it. The Power of Now is a great book if you liked this post.

Practice. You're onto something here!

I like to spend atleast 30 minutes in the morning, clear of any other noise and activity to just analyze the past day, the current day and plan the next. Would you guys consider that meditation? I find it absolutely essential to help me control the way I organise and conduct myself

Yes, meditation will get you far away into the depth of your mind. There will be variations of experiences that you will experience during mediation. You are doing it right. It's true that the purpose of meditation is to train your mind so that you can control yourself better. You will be able to control what you think, what you say, and what you do better in life if you're doing good meditation regularly.

So, just be persistent with it and you'll see the benefits clearly after some time.

Regards,
Jake

If anyone here practices meditation, could you help me determine whether I'm doing this right? Any advice you would like to give would be much appreciated!

Real Social Dynamics changed my life. I started reading the game, admired and like Mystery, read the Game, and used mm. Then bad shit happened. Dad and sis died due to drunk driver, my skin was bad, bad acne, accutane hair loss, even acne scars which brough on depression. I thought about killing myself a few times. Tyler posted a videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i__-jM_A648&lis ... w&index=41 and it changed everything. He had his son at free tour in a video released just before nye talking about some peope stagnate and never make it back. Something inside me snapped. I took action going out nye alone, blown up all night, and left with a girl for food after last call. I did not pull taking a number. I then saw Jeffy free tour. I started getting numbers more frequently, had a little gf 8months after. It didn't last long. 3numbers the same week as the breakup.

If after everything I've been through and I can succeed, anyone can. Jeffy was helpful sharing his story after free tour, advice, and about not being half a gangster. I had to endure. I had to accept this pain inside of me, feel it but, let go which I learned in meditation. I learned to harness that desire to want a girl but, to let go or as Tyler put it, freedom from outcome and intent. Its a business and I haven't did a hotseat or bc yet but, I love the content they offer, and I would go with them no problem.

Learn to let go. You see it, feel it, hear it but, its all fleeting. I am pretty fucked up but, I embrace it. Fast forward to the present, I signed up for Alex free tour, watched his physicality video #4 bonus, and I pulled immediately. The endless content and advice is awesome. If you can't afford bc, do hotseat, and if you can't, see free tour. I am going and reserved my spot with a $25 deposit that is refunded upon showing up. You can come with e if you like or look for dates in your area. I'll review it here too. If I can get money for hotseat I'll go. Look online to for meditation groups in churchs or others you can learn from.

I got into mediation through this site/pickup and it really has changed my life in quite a few ways. I have Power of Now in my car and I have listened to it many times, actually I meditate quite a bit whilst driving, obviously not shutting my eyes etc. but just focussing on the road and what I am doing rather than letting my mind drift off thinking about all kinds of things - basically being present in the moment and my surroundings. There are a couple of guides online about driving meditation.

I find driving meditation is a good way to practice as really I want to be able to get into this state (clear mind and present) whilst walking about and picking up girls - with my eyes open and stuff going on as it were. Also it is good to practice just letting the (many!) things that can annoy one on the road just pass 'though' me rather than getting wound up or affected by the behaviour of total strangers - again something that has some parallel with pickup.

Only once have I been in a real meditative state all day whilst doing pickup and it was the best day I ever had, such good reactions from the girls and a few numbers from cold street stops. My mind was so clear that day, I wasn't in my head or thinking about what reaction I might get, or thinking about anything apart from what a nice day it was and I really didn't care about the girls that weren't interested in me, I didn't think about them, their reaction or let it affect me, it was just forgotten and 'on to the next'. I even started chatting up a girl who wasn't that responsive - she was responding though! - and after a minute or so I noticed she was with her bloke who was stood about 3 feet away looking really puzzled that I'd just walked up and started hitting on his girl (maybe he was secretly chuffed) - point being on another day when I was in my head I would probably have died with embarrassment.

So I would recommend it, it is good to be able to switch off the chatter of the mind when you want to as in the main (at least my mind anyway) can put you in a bad state for no reason at all and meditation helps to be able to reduce it a lot.

HOW you do meditation is really simple. (Sit quietly and breathe) but what separates regular meditation from advanced meditation is your intention. Some people meditate regularly (to get into the present moment) other people meditate to access higher parts of their mind, other people meditate for self contemplation, while other people meditate to clear negative emotions and energies. There are thousands of ways to meditate.

If you want to go deeper and higher into meditation I suggest checking these two tapes out, they're for high level practioners but there's no reason a newbie couldn't jump into it. They'll take you to a level of self control and mastery most wanna-be alphas could never dream of. Literally NOTHING can affect you. No thoughts, no fears, no worries, total chilled out clear quietness in your mind at all times.

Yeah sure meditation is awesome, if you can even out your chakras then you will become a more balanced person in general.

Keep at it, eventually you will feel a lot of strange sensations that you can't put into words.
