To manage that I take a daily regime of an immuno-suppresant (natrium-azathioprine) and mesalazine.
I have a similar condition, been diagnosed with Crohn's a year and a half ago, but luckily mine isn't so bad and I've been in remission for six months already.
Having said that I've always struggled to gain weight, even though I do eat a lot. Perhaps dead lifts and squats are in order
