This is definitely not something to say to your target or a girl you are interested in, but it would be fun anyways. It might be a good thing to say to somebody near your target, but isn't incredibly good friends with the target. It displays wit and therefore higher social value.

Reply to "you look tired" with, "And you're ugly, but I can just go to sleep."

If you've ever watched the movie 8 mile with Eminem when in the end he's about to rap battle the last person and he ends up going first you'll know why it's a good thing sometimes to just accept the affenders comments and blow them out of proportions (high jacking and amplifying the frame) and thus making it irrelevant and even better something that the offender can't use anymore. In the movie Eminen made fun of himself the whole time and the crowd went crazy because he really didn't give a shit what people thought or knew or noticed about him. That's why the guy ended up choking in the end. I mean what was he going to say? Something that Eminen has already accepted?

I gotta agree with Thedutchone and Tr@veler.

It's a shit test and unless you can't think of a funny comeback that
doesn't require you to qualify yourself just ignore it.

What sounds worst to you from the options below:

A)
You: So, I have been out and this girl comes...
She: You look tired.
You: Oh, I was working late last night and didn't get much sleep

B)
You: So, I have been out and this girl comes...
She: You look tired.
You: Yeah, I was with this nympho, I swear to you I had enough of sex for a year.
You are not trying just to have sex with me, right?
She: Yes/No/ Whatever/ blabla
You: Yeah right, whatever, you girls just want sex...

c)
You: So, I have been out and this girl comes...
She: You look tired.
You: *ignore her and just continue your story* ... and she says to me: "Can I get your autograph and I was like blabla.

So, A) is out of a question. Don't qualify yourself. You are under no social obligations to justify to her why you look tired. B) is a gamble because you need to know if a girl is sexual or more shy nature.

C) is probably the best, and the winner. Especially if you are a beginner, shutting up and not allowing her to take control of conversation is the best thing you can do.
