What do you do when you get a number (in this case a HB8) and you dont remember the conversation from last night? (we talked a good half hour too)

How should I initiate? would text be the best option?

Start the text with a new topic of conversation. Ask her some random question or something.

It actually turned out pretty well. We went back and forth a bit yesterday via text and I ended the convo saying "cute and smart, hard to believe, maybe we would make a great team afterall"

to which she responded " Youd be surprised...not to give myself too much credit or anything"

I was gonna hold off today and give her a spontaneous call tomorrow asking her what she thinks is a better secret santa gift for this girl.

A few questions...with the spontaneous call, if she doesnt pick up is a message wise? also if the convo is going well should I hint at doign something or just leave it quick and efficient?

Yea, leave a message. The secret santa gift is a perfect message to leave as well, since it's kind of random and funny. Be like: "Hey Jessica, it's Pookie. I want your opinion. I have to get somebody a secret santa gift. Should I get them a furry top hat, or a rainbow colored boa? Btw, the person is my grandmother. Anyhoo, hit me up when you get this message. I don't want to get granny the wrong gift!"

Also, if the convo isn't going well, then don't try to schedule a date. That's no good. Just cut the thread and tell her that your buddy just texted you and he is meeting some girls at a bar and he wants you to go with so you have to go.

Im shocked she replied lol. I usually do text game to get the first meeting but I really want to mix up my game. That is awesome. Thanks ninja. I used my secret santa story saying, a backscratcher or a pillowcase with my photo as the items of choice.

She called back an hour later and left a message while I was at the gym. Saying that "You like to call huh interesting..." She called the backscratcher boring and the pillowcase creepy(I think its hilarious) and that she will have to think of something interesting.

I am pretty bad at day 2ing call game which is why I usually resort to text. Is there a general rule of thumb for call game?

Any long term advice for day 1/2 call game I can get? I think if I keep this up I can take it from here. I feel ready to ask her out. I think setting up a date by using the secret santa idea might be a good leeway.

She responded " Like any other rare day...after all thats how time works doesnt it? It all only happens once in a lifetime!"

I responded " Better make the most of the moment then

She didnt respond.

I will give it a day or two and call on saturday. I would like to hear peoples opinion on going back between text and call.

Yeah, the witty retorts only get you so far. Another draw back to text game.
