I see.

The simple fact of the matter is that the best of the best nearly ALWAYS read books. That is, the best of the best who came from AFC to PUAville, that is.
This. If you took the worlds most successful people in all walks of life (barring a few fields that are highly luck-based like music, pro-sports), I think the number 1 thing that they'd ALL have in common is that they read a lot.

I can't imagine not reading. I've learned more and got more value out of my self-education from books than I have from anything I ever learned in a school by a factor of 100.

You "don't like reading"? Plenty of fat people "don't like exercise", but when you actually make it a habit and start seeing results, you'll see the point.

I agree completely about reading. Learning and developing a desire to learn is one of the best ways to improve one's life.

Everyone on these forums should be reading everything they can about the Men's Movement. Here is a short list of Men's Movement and self-help materials that I would recommend for everyone here to read:

1. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Robert Glover
2. "Iron John" by Robert Bly
3. "Wild At Heart" by John Eldredge
4. "Fire in the Belly" by Sam Keen
5. "Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins
6. "How to be a No Limit Person" by Wayne Dyer
7. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie
8. "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover" by Moore & Gillette
9. "Unstoppable Confidence" by Kent Sayre

Excellent topic.

I may also add that, after reading some damn books (like, a lifetime of reading em); you should WRITE a book.

That`s one of my goals, but I know I`m way too young, way too far from that product of my mind.

So at the moment I`m dealing with The Count of Montecristo by Dumas.
It`s even more epic than the movie, of course.

Full of intrigues and a very well written story about vengeance and becoming a man, by having nothing to having everything and what to do with that.

I just started writing my first book last week. I have several planned that I want to write.

You're never too young, and never too old. If you want to write, then write.

Great topic; couldn't be said better. If any of you ever read the Art of Manliness they have a list of 100 must read books that I'm currently working on, you should check it out. They span a wide range of topics. Link here: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/05/14/10 ... s-library/

I just finished a biography on Abraham Lincoln by David Herbert Donald and it was probably the best thing I've ever read. It's about 600 pages and incredibly dense (took me two months to read) but now I feel like I personally know the man. I even shed a tear at the end, not gonna lie.

I believe it was Steven Covey who said that books give us direct access to the greatest minds in history, or something to that effect. A man who doesn't read is depriving himself of remarkable knowledge and will never reach his full potential.

Giant Jerseys For Sale

Reading various blogs online and listening to lots of podcasts, I’ve found endless amounts of information on how to be a better Storyteller or Game Master, but I have rarely found information on how to be a better player. However, players far outnumber Storytellers. For every Storyteller, there can be as many as 4 or 6 or more players. So here are some general guidelines on being a better player.
