A recent survey found that one in four 12-16 year olds regularly access pornography online.

Another found that one in three 16-24 year olds surveyed admitted that pornography had caused problems in their relationships. **

But what’s the truth about young people’s sexual experiences?

Does easy access to porn affect the age young people have sex for the first time or how they feel about sex and sexual relationships?

We are developing a documentary for Channel 4 looking for young people who are happy to share their stories and express their opinions about teenage sex. We are keen to talk to as many people as possible in confidence at this research stage.

I like this premise, it is ironic to think that online videos of sex can be conducive to a voyeur not having sex.

I'd say that one of the reasons for a parent's fear of their son watching pornography, is that they may become sexually active prematurely , but in reality it is possibly more socio-chemically preventative than playing World of Warcraft.
