oneitis at work. asked her out despite getting strong signals. she said no.

she didnt send me one for my birthday. nor did she invite me to the recent works gala. we are still polite when we talk even though being at work since asking her out feels like one long cat and mouse game. when i backed off i sensed her subtle pursuits via eye contact etc.

yesterday the birthday card was going round the office. her best friend chased me down demanding to know why i hadnt signed it. i explained i hadnt seen it to which she plonked the card under my nose which i then signed a very brief unemotional message unlike everyone else in the office who were gushing about her (mainly due to the fact she's leaving our department at the end of the week - thank god).

anyway its her birthday so she's off today. i know the whole office will be texting her happy bday. should i send her one or is it not necessary.
