Lately, I am beginning to believe that PUA is really about just becoming a man. The process of growing some balls and talking to women.

Cause really there is no magic here. It is said that most people trying to learn PUA fail because they don't go out and actually talk to women. As one of the people that went out and "tried", I thought it was an art. To learn and apply different techniques (ie. kino, c&f), I guess what I had in my mind was something James Bond-esque.

But experience has taught me things are unpredictable, no one is that smooth. There is a lot of improvising and sometimes even some hail Marys. Perhaps it's me gaining confidence or being cocky but I have been continually pushing my limits and I've said some pretty fucked up shit to women only to be in them 30 minutes later. I'll probably get banned for posting some of the stuff I say but clearly if I can get away with saying those things to women, PUA can't be an art.

So what do you guys think? Do you believe PUA is an art or just a process of growing some balls?

You made a good point, dude. I see it as an art in a sense that you have a good time doing it, and invest your whole persona and intellect to perform it the best you can.

But I think it is more a process than an end goal.
The fact that you can't get women is more a symptom of the problem, than the problem itself. The problem is more than you are together, you're not a real confident man.
So learning pickup might help grow some balls, as you said, and ultimately make you become an integrated, emotionaly fulfilled adult person. It might also help find your path through life.

And another point, technique are not everything. To me they are just an expression of the fact that I am the price, she wants me, and I don't give a shit. But if you overdo them, you might come across as incongruent, it can bite you in the ass.
