A girl I don't know too well messaged me on Facebook about supporting a candidate that she was volunteering for. She is cute so I agreed to help her out. So I liked him on Facebook and put a yard sign out. Now she sends me this message.

"So the campaign season is over and unfortunately we didn't win the commissioner race, but Liberty candidates did win House Rep in 33a and 33b so that's a small victory.
Anyway, even though the season is over, I have one more invitation for you. This Wednesday at 7:30 we're meeting to talk about future plans for the SD33 Republican party at 847 Tonkawa Road. Since it's just up the street from you, you should try to attend! There's always good food to snack on and the Liberty group is pretty great. If you want to go let me know so I can RSVP you."

Sounds a bit business like, but why is she even bothering to ask me if she doesn't like me? I know she is quite shy and she is something like 8 years younger then me, and her parents are friends with mine.

No question. Sounds like she's a Republican central committee associate or local campaign associate.
I was the Democratic version of what she is, way back in the day. It's part of your job as a volunteer
to be friendly and get local people to come to events.

Pretty similar to what Mormons and Jehovas Witnesses do, eh? Welcome to America. xP
