Jus thought of an opener the other day and thought I would see what you guys think.

Basically what you do is walk up to a girl and start speaking Portuguese to them knowing that they likely don't understand. Then when they act confused and show they don understand what you're talking about you apologize and tell them you thought they were Brazilian. Like so...

Me: E ai meu bem? Tudo bom? O que voce ta fazendo agora?
HB: Huh?! *insert weird/awkward face
Me: Quais sao as novidades?
HB: What? I don't know what you're saying.
Me: I'm sorry, I thought you were Brazilian. Where are you from?
HB: *Random country
Me: Oh cool! bla bla bla... I'm_______ btw.

This doesn't have to be limited to Portuguese or Brazil, so you could throw around a whole bunch of different ones if you wanted depending on what suits you.

You live in Brasil? If you're interested in using this technique there, try using French. This is what I did when I was there and it really got the attention of the girls I spoke to. Prob didn't hurt that I'm tall, fair-skinned with blue eyes. But compared to when I tried the same thing with English, didn't work nearly as well.
