I was testing out some stuff I found which is intended for online dating sites, thought I'd try it on Facebook with a girl I already know, but not very well. We'd already exchanged some messages & banter, then yesterday I sent her this :

ME : I've just been doing some renovation work at my place. I need a girl to come over to tidy up & look after me! You can start straight away! Don't forget to bring a mop!

Then the convo continued as follows :

HB : Hang on! I hope this is your idea of humour?!

ME : Haha .... Of course! You didn't understand my humour?!

HB : No, I didn't get it... I was gonna call the police!

I should tell you that this girl is French, and the vast majority of them are super high maintenance, bitchy, and generally devoid of a sense of humour of ANY description! Plus all the above messages have been translated from French.

Any ideas on a witty comeback for this situation? I was thinking something along the lines of :

ME : Whoa! Don't do that! I'm a bad boy, but not a criminal!
