It seems like wherever i go, people always act differently around me. When i walk by a group of people thats talking, they all suddenly get quiet until i pass. One time i was going downstairs, as soon as this dude saw me he almost tripped while going upstairs. I always feel like people are staring at me as well. Its getitng on my nerves and i know its not just in my head. no one ever makes an effort to try and start a conversation with me... I just dont know what to do...

Are you scary looking? Do you walk around with a angry scowl on your face?

Have you tried smiling and saying "hello" to people as you walk by?

if your intimidating people, your intimidating looking but all of this can be fixed! Its all in body language brotha. Try this!
next time you walk around

1) chin up
~projects confidence and will also cause you to make more eye contact

2) chest out
~projects confidence/ good health

3) grin/smile at people
~a good smile disarms people and causes them accept you more redily

4) try to feel relaxed
~if you feel relaxed, you project relaxed and people will be more relaxed around you

5) walk at a moderate pace
~if you walk fast people percieve you as hurried and will get out your way

6)swing your arms a little as you walk
~projects youth *if you notice the older a person is the stiffer their gait is because of athritis etc...*

Try to project a more open personality but starting conversation with people even if it looks like they don't want to converse.

Some people just LOOK pissed off when really they're singing a tune in their head.

I actually did all those things but i'm tired of smiling at people, even i smiled or say hi, some of them gave me no responds and i have the same problem zezimaHD .

The sad reality is that some people just have an undesireable look to them. Beady eyes or sinister facial features. I've seen guys that I instantly hated just because of how their face looked. It's not necessarily that they are ugly, but they have that look about them that rubs you the wrong way. Sort of like actors who are always cast as bad guys in movies. They just have that mean, evil, shady look about them.

One thing you can do is be extra friendly and ask people how their day is going and get them to open up to you. Once they realize you are not actually the way they assumed you'd be, their perception of you will change.

i never realized we should do that but isnt being extra friendly is kinda "seek approval" or "needy"? Or simply becuase we have to compensate?

can you be specific like how to be "extra" friendly, cuz today at school, i tied to get into a 5 or more set with ONLY BOYS( just wanna be social), and i asked my friend to introduce me and stuff, and i didnt feel like i am really welcomed by the group.

Got the same problem here as zezimaHD, lucky I have an honest friend. Whilst I Know I can be physicaly intimidating it turns out my eyes tend to be more scary and when I smile I mostly just tend to look sinister :twisted:
