| So about a month ago, my friend and his girlfriend come by my apartment with this HB9. Not much IOIs or anything, but some meet and greet (read: social proof). Come to find out, she's in one of my classes, and we exchange short conversation here and there. Last Friday, I ran into the three of them together around campus and she said gave me a "lookin good" compliment out of nowhere. Later, I decide to go for it. This Monday, I see her talking to her professor about one of my favorite movies, and use it to make plans with her to see it and we exchange numbers. I don't carry my phone to class so I gave her my number. She seems to be somewhat interested at this point.
Her: "Hey it's (HB9) from psych class"
Me: "You've reached (me) of likewise association"
Her: (T+1h) "Word"
This morning:
Me: "(Local restauraunt we'd seen each other in before) after class?"
Her: "I wish, ill have class though"
And nothing since. See, I was thinking of building a bit more attraction / rapport before I have her over to watch a movie. A lot of girls I meet from class are pretty apprehensive about something like that (coming off too strong/"pickup like") right off the bat, but I'm hoping with social proof (HUGE in college) that it's not too much for a day 2. Normally, I'd ask her to come hang out with our mutual friends mentioned above, but I may already have the green light for my place. So do I go for a low-commitment Day 2 first, or skip straight to the movie?
If this wasn't college, I'd just go for it, by the way. I'm currently in a shaky FWB I'm pretty hung up on (see most of my recent topics) and need to close some hotter girls, and this is a great opportunity. I'm probably putting too much pressure on it.
