I have this FB that I've become really good friends /w over the past couple of months. I'd say we're not purely FB since we hang out alot even /w no sex involved. She's alot closer to gf than FB at this point. Anyway, we're going to see a movie later this week. This isn't like a first date type of thing because I'd never pay there. Do I pay or let her pay? If I pay my plan is to just buy 2 tickets like its no big deal, and if she asks why I paid I can tell her she can repay me by buying me popcorn or something. Thoughts?

It depends on the relationship. If you're done more for her in the past then it's time for her to pay up. If it's a 50/50 relationship then go dutch. If she's given you much more in the relationship then pay up.

The "push/pull" concept works very much the same way with money and giving/receiving.

If you have never paid for her, then in doing so you will set a precidence for a shared (hopefully not a one sided) monetary resposibility (ie: you will make it acceptable for you guys to pay for each other).

If you guys have paid for one another before, here is what i mean by push/pull and money.

If you never pay, and they expect it...it looks bad

if you pay too often, they expect it and you DLV

if you pay ocasionally, you look good and DHV.

Also something you can do in a movie situation is split it, like you buy tickets she buys the food...simply say that. "Hey i picked up the tickets online, so foods on you." (lighthearted tone if on phone, smiley/emote if in person or texting)
