You were way to supplicating when you asked her to hang out. It came across as "Maybe..sometime you would like to let me buy you a drink..." and then you handed her an excuse "unless it's already past your bedtime"

There are tons of posts out there that cover the importance of finding out her schedule BEFORE asking her to hang out. That way you can suggest sometime when she's free. Rather than guessing over and over (which comes off as chasing).

I know this is a dead topic but I have been trolling around OkCupid a while now and haven't had any good hits since here. I was able to get this chicks number a few days later and we arranged a meet for drinks like we were discussing but the day of she backed out. I'm not sure if there was enough comfort there or not. However, I have been seeing her on the website a few times since and have been wondering if there is a way I can get another shot at this. I know it's just beating a dead horse here since it's usually one shot, but it'd be nice if there was a way to re-engage. Any thoughts?

Just re-open her! I like to give them a pet name or a common familiarity statement during my first few convos. This makes it easier to use recall when you text them later. Think of somehting witty to say and then send it!

^^ OkCupid sucks. I don't know what it is but i can not get girls to message me back on OKC. Whereas on Match i have a pretty decent response rate and have been on about 8 dates since joining in beginning of August.

OKC i've had one date and about a 25% the response rate as Match.

Probably because okcupid is free and match isn't, if she's paying to meet people she's less likely to just ignore you.

My best responses come from short messages usually just commenting on one or two interesting parts of their profile (to make it look like I give a shit lol ).

I also have success negging girls from rival schools (i graduated fyi in-state) or asking about the coolest place they traveled if they mention traveling in their profile.
