Back story
I have known this girl for a while now, She is cute, we get along, but we both were in LTR's so nothing really came of it.. (To tell you the truth, i dont think i ever hit on her) While we got to know eachother I developed more of a connection with her best friend (who is currently in a ltr, so im not worried about it)..

Fast forward..

I saw her randomly at a party a few days ago. We both were somewhat buzzed..

ME: What happened to your BF?

HER: We broke up.

ME: That sucks.

HER: Its alright.

ME: Alright how about this... I wana go on a date, and you seem fun. So lets go out sometime.

HER: Hmmmmm.. I dont know... maybe.. we will see..

ME: Alright, Ill let you think about it, send me a text so I have your number.. BUT since this is the official start of our new friendship make it epic..

ME: Thats lame..

HER: Sorry Im horrible at this..

ME: I got it, How about you just text me "YES" and we will make plans.

(She stops and thinks about it)

HER: haha.. Alright.. Im free monday night..

ME: Perfect! Im going to get out of here. Ill text you later..

HER: (gives me hug) BYE

Fast Forward to Sunday (via text)

ME: We still on for tomorrow?

HER: Actually blah blah blah blah (some excuse)

ME: you know, if you want to decline, there will be no hard feelings

i just wasn't expecting it lol aaaand i was drunk.
and i dunno! i don't wanna say no, but i dont' want it to be awkward either, ya know?

I know what you mean, and I was also pretty tipsy, but here is how I see it.
I want to go out and have a good time..

HER: Sooo blah blah blah blah and I have another paper to write tonight, so i have to cancel. I'm really sorry!!!

ME: (I sent her a funny pic of me)
Are you sure you wana turn this down?

HER: OMG AHAHA

ME: I totally understand. Would you like to reschedule?

HER: Your ridiculous!!! Ill see.. haha

I feel like I'm trying way to hard to get this date.. She is very on the fence about me...

What should I do??

Tell her to quit "Playing" you, in a funny way, seems like you could handle that based on what I see.

Then send something like "You know? if you keep flaking on me ...you'll NEVER get to see me naked!"


Or: "I just wanted to let you know we'er breaking up, I'm moving on!" Also in a funny way, then just run with it when she laughs and asks why?

Ex; "I'm tired of you just thinking of me as a sex object"

you basically were too eager to jump on a lukewarm prospect.

You will learn over time that pressuring luke warm prospects who lack sufficient attraction is bad game. Next time increase her attraction/interest level before you try to solidify any commitment/date. A lot of new guys think any way they can get a girl out by hook or by crook is the best course, coming froma a scarcity prospective this makes sense, in reality its a better idea to go on less dates/rendezvous/meet ups with higher interest prospects then doing volume with half interested, equivocating targets. You are going to end up spending more money, time, and emotional capital with very little extra poo-tang to show for it.
