So I'm developing this opener I use in bars/restaurants. Basically you just walk up to the table the set is at and sit down. You can say "You mind if I sit here a second?" But don't even wait for their response, just sit down and start into your routine. Another variation is to walk up and sit down as if you thought that was your table, then act surprised when you look up and see strangers sitting there, then say "This isn't my table!" and get up and go back to your table. You can basically use that as a pre-opener to break the ice, then return later and begin your routine having already broken the ice.

What's good about this opener is that it shows confidence and it's also kind of funny, and it's exciting and intriguing. It's also disarming to the set, because they almost have to accept your presence since nobody wants to say "You need to leave, get up!"
