Last night was out with a cool chick i met at work, and it was bad. It is important to note that she wanted me to come chill with her for a bit as it was last day we'd be seeing each other for at least a year (summer job)

We hung out and mainly talked about work.... i tried switching the topic a few times but it was only ever for a few mins most, and she would quickly relate it back to work. I really liked her, and was trying some of the stuff ive been reading about here, like tried standing up and getting her to stand up too (we were sitting) and she would just say "i dont trust you" I kept on initiating contact... would rest my hand on her knee, stroke her arm, etc, and she had no issues with this, but never touched me back. i kept trying to get her to stand, or putting my hand around her shoulder while walking etc :s

she did a shit test as well, asking what r u doing later tonight, or tomorrow and i replied with not much (as really thats the case :s) and why? she just laughed and told me i should throw a party... a couple more of these types where she kinda left it very open ended as to if she wanted to invite me over.... and i totally fell for them. I fail.

anyways, afterwards she had to drive me for 5mins to get home, and i asked her what she meant about not trusting me, and she told me (using herself as an example, not me) that i dont know the limit, that im socially weird, etc I was confused, and only couple hours later i understood what she meant (you have to be very blunt with me).

So as she dropped me off, i said good bye (wont be seeing her again for at least a year, if anything) and gave her a shoulder hug (in car), kissed her on the cheek (no resistance; kinda leaned in for the hug) so i tried to make out with her, and she just looked at me like nothing happened. She said that we'll see each other next year maybe.

What do I do guys? I feel like shit, and now that I realized what she meant, and i kept pushing further i feel HORRIBLE i did this to her. She worked with me, and im going away for school now, but want to work here again next summer (she prob gonna tell all the people there about this). I want to text her "sorry about last night, i really shouldn't of been doing what I did. I understand what you meant about not trusting me, and i fully agree. "
