Just been out for a few beers with some friends, nothing heavy just a couple down the local pub. There was a cure girl serving behind the bar (HB7), opened with the glasses on/off routine, she was pretty friendly and it opened the chat a little, we had a small amount of banter about what she was doing at uni (teacher training) - im a teacher so there was common ground and then I left it as had to get back to my friends.

Back at the bar for the next drink, she wasnt serving me but I caught her eye, so I thought as I leave ill ask for her number. Did this on the way out - directly: look i dont do this but id kick myself if I didnt at least ask you if you wanted to go out for a drink. She simply said 'no its ok thanks... I have a bf' (i think the BF part was bullshit but i didnt push it) and i so said my goodbyes and left it.

The good thing about this is that it doesnt bother me - so Im definitely over any approach anxiety which I thought I might have once had, the bad thing is that I didnt at least get her number.

Any advice for an AFC on how this could have been handled better?

You did some fundamental things wrong.

1st,I liked that you use the glasses on/off opener. Although I'm a PUA instructor now who constructs his own stuff,I still use this opener.

Seems like you ran out of steam right after where you weren't able to attract her with enough attraction material.

It also seems that you didn't stack forth with anything else.

That was the coffin in the nail.

The fact that you rolled off was great(you don't wanna make a girl think that you're gonna hound her all night),but it was WHY you rolled off which killed you. You supposed to roll of on a "high note" when the girl is visibly into you and showing SOI's(signs of interest).

But you apparently rolled off on a "low note",perhaps you stalled and ran out of things to say.

That was a crucial mistake;rolling off on a low note.

To sink your ship even further,you re approached her before leaving and begged her for her #(without further trying to attract her via attraction material).

The BF thing was a lie. But you cannot blame her for rejecting you. You had your shot to present her with value but you blew it with about 5 fundamental mistakes of pickup.

My advice,learn "social vibing" and how to routine stack in order to prolong the chat.

And you know what happened soon after? My sister had a birthday party and wanted to meet my gf and her friends,so I invited them over,but they fucking flaked and never showed up!!! Since that day,I knew *** Uni girils were bad girlfriends.

Then,I'd strategically roll off on an obvious high note(at the hook point),where I knew she was into me via the DHV story with built-in attraction material.

Then after a whil(preferably after talking to other women in the venue(pre-selection switch),I'd re open her,build more attraction,roll off again,then eventually went for a solid # close after letting her know I'm about to leave.

Ok, cool got it and can now see where I went wrong - i could have definitely kept the chat going for longer, there was milage in the uni and teacher thing, but for some reason i rolled off early and definitely did not display higher value. No biggie, I'll just ensure I don't repeat the same mistakes. Thanks man. Quick question though, what if there are no other women in the venue, well there was but she was like 70 - it's a pub after all.

The objective is to show the target(student) that you're a social and safe guy, and that you're not so looney loner sitting off not talking to no one.

So talk to granny! If it's guys there;strike up a boring chat with 1 of them.

The target will see this and see that you're a social and safe guy. Then,she'd be 1,000 times more receptive to talking to you since she now knows that others(in the pub) has accepted you also.

This' called pre-selection.
