what if you've got decent game, but your wing is just naturally gifted, is he suppose to downplay himself or make himself look worse?

ie. I got a wing who is australian, and sets are always interested in asking him questions due to the accent, culture, etc.
Should he just downplay his natural qualities and show zero interest to the opener's target (even if she keeps asking him questions, etc.)?

Usually things get sorted in that the opener gets first choice, but sometimes you can't control the target if she's really attracted to Hugh Jackman qualities. I dunno what a wing is suppose to do, besides making himself look really bad.
