If you would wipe (?) up every other girl in seconds, then why not use the same techniques on this girl as you would with her? Why should you treat this one differently, just because she's slightly better looking?

it's not the compliment that is the problem, it is incongruence (does it line up with who you are)

the real question in these situations to ask, is

am I needy?

not, does this sound needy?

chances are if you are considering your coarse of action into the future with uncertainty and trying to play it as safe as possbile, you care too much, and that means you are needy

expressing yourself and how you feel shouldn't be a big deal, and if you are not indifferent to the results, then obviously you ''need'' something to say that will work, because you ''need'' to get her, or your mind frame would be simple, do as I want, try to get this girl cause I want to, if it doesn't work out there are other girls
