It's a downward spiral. One thing falls apart. So you lose your focus, and another thing falls apart. And then you grab at something that you think will stabilize you, but your desperation causes you to choke under pressure. Next thing you know, you wonder if you were ever good at anything.

This is human nature. Everyone goes through it at some point in life. It's easier for some people, and harsher for others. But the story is basically the same.

The way out is slow. You gotta create an upward spiral. (Not sure if that's a real term, but we just invented it.) One small success, leading to another small success, leading to an overall feeling of strength and effectiveness.

In other words, now is the exact time you should NOT be focused on women. You start with small things. Clean your work space. Throw yourself into what you're passionate about. No pressure, just do it because you enjoy doing it. Call a friend and listen to them. You'd be amazed how helping someone else out can remind you "hey, I'm actually not that broken".

You'll start to feel like you used to, when you were on top of the world. You'll realize you're the same person, just that you took a few lumps as you pushed out into a more challenging world.
