There's a park near my house where people go to throw frisbees, read, and lots of girls are there on hot days tanning (either alone or in groups) I've gone there a few times to play frisbee, and I was wondering if anyone has good openers to use in these situations.

My style would be to plop down in front of one, stretch out, and ask (fully clothed) how long until I got as nice a tan as she had. Haha. Or, ooh! Better yet, since this is all planned in advance and not on-the-fly, try going in shorts or something, and tanning there also. Perfect opener situation, plus maybe some girls will just open you!

I'm thinking of standing in a girls shade while posing in a different direction. And then when they say something about being in their light, I could say something like

"I was wondering when you were going to get the courage to talk to me" with a wink or a grin

Maybe, but I don't promote any ideas or conversation that the girl should be the first one to talk. I don't like direct openers. That's a little too direct. Try it and see how it works but seems low percentage.

Used it at the mall yesterday with success. It's not implying anything; merely suggesting shes attracted to me. No matter how you start the convo, it's direct.

I read this post and thought about this for a couple minutes. I don't like to ask questions unless I generally give a shit about the topic/answer, so I would probably just go to direct. I would probably just kneel down and say,
"Hey, I can see that you're trying to catch a mean tan and thought you could use a little more hotness. "
or if you don't wanna go with the cocky funny route, you can say; "Hey. I think you look lovely, and I wanted to see what you were really like before I jumped the gun and asked you for your number."

It's day time. Try going direct. Unless of course you can actually have an interesting conversation about something else. For example, talking about the park, then letting the conversation transcend into talk of nature and the outdoors. At least, that's what I would do, because I love nature and the outdoors. I enjoy talking about it. Either way, unless you've been cooking up some badass killer routine, get the number and go.
