I'm 28. I kill it with girls from 23-33. I have no problem getting 70%+ number close from number of messages sent. But...I have almost no luck with 18, 19, 20. I'm a good looking guy and I'm fit...I do very well, but these girls just don't respond with much. I get a lot of real short replies...and then it fizzles. Any thoughts guys?

You're 28, some girls may find it creepy. Perhaps your angle works best on that age group - IE the more wise, secure, relaxed type. Or perhaps your doubts show in the way you talk? Only you will know the answer to that one.

Young girls are crazy! They're the type I have to work with. So be crazy! Be fun, make em laugh - you know the drill - but appeal to their fun side rather than any other. For example, I've seen some long funny openers that I don't think girls my age would react to at all.

And some intellectually/sexually stimulating conversation that works on women who are on the same level won't work on younger girls - cuz the simple fact is they aren't!

I appreciate the reply sticksmith. I don't disagree that I need to adjust my approach. My profile has worked quite well 23 and up (even late 30's and 40's occasionally), but I think I need to adjust my openers as you mentioned. Go purely funny and ignore my usual one line of seriousness rule.

Do you have an example of something you open with? (Keeping in mind, this is purely online. In person is not the trouble)

For girls 18-25 I get them to qualify themselves immediately by opening with, "You're cute, but before I can commit to your being my futur ex-wife, [hoop goes here]“

I often make the hoop something situational, based on their profile. If they like videogames, I often bring up mario kart, as it's pretty popular with the ladies.

Opener's really not important, but JackBFriendly is right. Make them qualify themselves.
