Hiya guys, I am currently a member of Plenty of Fish and have been for quite some time. The thing is, I am not very photogenic and most photo's I upload get my profile no messages or attention what so ever.

The best I have ever done was with this girl but she flaked as soon as I suggested meeting up and wouldn't give me her number yet replied to all my messages up until that point.

Most messages I do send will be ignored and the only replies I do get are negative. Messages along the lines of 'Fuck off and dont message me again' or 'I am not your type' became the norm.

Until last saturday that is...

I was begining to get frustrated and throw in the towel (i.e. close my account) when I came across a forum entry about a guy using a fake photo of a hunk or hot guy getting messages without practically doing anything.

So me being me, with nothing left to loose in the online dating department gave it a shot...

The messages poured in, as you would expect and the girls I talked to using this picture are actually making an effort to talk to me as opposed to it always being me asking the questions. This is good as it allows me to practice my cocky comedy/attraction building skillset on girls without being attracted to any sort of outcome i.e. a date - As I know meeting up is obviously out of the question.

The trouble...

I am currently talking to this one girl at the moment who IMO is a HB9. She's interested in me and loves my sense of humour and the way I talk to her.

I know this is not the PUA thing to do (logic kills attraction and all that) but I did ask her what it was she liked about me, was it the way I hold a conversation, my about me section or the picture and she gave me a paragraph saying how much she liked my personality and that it didn't matter how hot my picture was.

I don't believe that for a second - There has to be some subconcious attachment somewhere along the line.

If she only knew...

I wrote my profile about me section and my messages myself. Everything is above board and truthful apart from my profile picture.

I suppose the bottom line here is this, is there any way I can reveal this to her without killing attraction?

Please bear in mind that this is done purely on an experimental basis. This means that I don't care about the outcome at all but It would just be more of an interesting experiment if she proves to be ok with the lie! (which I don't think will happen )

If this works I could have created another methodology for the community - I will call the emotional crash

I'm not qualified to give advice on this but it'd be a riot if you pasted that paragraph back to her about not caring about looks and then gave her your real pic. :D

Be sure to post the reaction here if you do!

She is currently in the process of trying to get another picture out of me. I just keep avoiding the subject - I think soon she will just ask me outright if that is me and I think I will reply with something like No, I'm much better looking and replace the photo with a real one.

Any more suggestions?
