Forum rules

A Sticking Point or SP is an issue you CONSISTENTLY run into.

It is NOT a point where you get stuck with ONE SPECIFIC GIRL.

A Sticking Point is:
Quote:
I keep getting LMR whenever I bring girls back to my place. This has happened at least 10 times already! What am I doing wrong?
A Sticking Point is NOT:
Quote:
I got LMR with this one girl! What do I do?
IT IS AGAINST THIS BOARD'S RULES TO POST THREADS ABOUT JUST ONE GIRL
If you have not already gone out and practiced enough to have a real Sticking Point from meeting an ABUNDANCE of women, YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO POST HERE.

Where - nightclub

I was on a night out. I walked past a late hours shop, me and my friend saw they sold bright red cowboy hats, we got one each for peacocking purposes.

They definately got the attention. But I just didnt know what to do next after the following situations:

HB's running up and grabbing the hats and wearing them whilst staring at me smiling.
HB's running up borrowing the hats and dragging me into a photo with them, then getting a photo of me wearing the hat.

And one particular incident. Incolcing a cute HB9

HB9: (looks at me and smiles)
ME: Well the hat feinately suits you (puts hat on her)
HB9: (smiles and rubs up against me)
ME: But its still mine
HB9: Looks sad and upset
ME: Aww here you go (puts hat on her)
HB9: (Rubs breasts against me and smiles)
ME: But it defo suits me better (takes hat)
HB9: Looks sad and upset again

I could go on, but you get the idea. This must of repeated itself about 9 times. In the end I just left as I didnt know what to do next.

I get the idea about Peacocking now. It defo gets the attention. But what the hell do I do next to build rapport. The peacocking is just the icebreaker. And its makes an HB show an IOI.

all peackocking is for, is basically to get the girl to open you.. the game is still the exact same way... put it this way when you peacock it's kinda like the girl is opening you after she opens you, you need transition.... the game is the same.. but you wanna change the conversation you dont wanna keep talking about the opener(which is the hat) you wanna push the conversation forward

Yeah, but HOW? Specifically that is? I got the same issue as OP, I can open but find it hard to shift to something more engaging. I'm smart but concerned half of my conversation topics would be over a girls head and scare her off, and fuck if I'm going to talk to her about Jersey Shore or The Only Way Is Essex...

OP - Your example sounds to me like a classic case of "a little less conversation a little more action". If a bird is grinding on you and rubbing her tits on you in the nightclub, it's time to grind back, not try to carry on a half-hearted conversation.

El Zilcho - I know where you're coming from mate, I've been a uni student for 4 years and sometimes it can be tough to hit on the locals because of class/background difference. A woman who works in Tesco is not going to want to talk to you about particle physics or Jean Paul Sartre. You have to know your audience.

If you're having trouble coming across on the same level, I'd recommend getting into something that could be a talking point. If a lot of your standard game involves talking to people who aren't as posh as you, maybe you should keep abreast of a bit of celeb gossip or chart music so you've got a point of contact in case you need to make smalltalk with someone who has a different background.

Personally I adjust my social register carefully based on my situation. I'm excited right now because I've just got hold of Slavoj Zizek's latest published work (it's about Hegelian Dialectic). Does Chantelle from Sainsbury's need to know that on her saturday night vodka-redbull binge? No, because I also know that Katy Perry just got divorced and West Ham got promoted after they smashed Blackpool in the last Championship final.

To be honest though, in a clubbing situation, your dancefloor/bar game shouldn't involve anything more than the most superficial chatting. I've found the greatest conversation in this context is made by body language, eye contact and physical interaction. On this basis - Marksie, I would have put my party hat back on the HB9 in the example, kept eye contact and a smile and immediately led her to the floor for a cheeky dance. Remember that communication is not only verbal.
