Unfortunately not. If someone gets a copy of your book by any method, they can upload it onto a torrent site and it's there for everyone to see.

If you register on the torrent site you can post fake reviews of your torrent saying it contains viruses or trojans, I've heard of movie companies doing this along with uploading a continuous trailer running enough to fill a few gigs and pass as the movie itself.

Another tac to use if your work is an ebook is is to make a slight change in every version you sell; just a punctuation mark or something like that which won't alter the content of the work then inform your customers that every copy you sell is unique and if they post it to a torrent site you can instantly identify the poster due to the "punctuation signature" and take legal proceedings against them. Because their anonymity is compromised they probably won't do it and there is no way of finding the identity mark- there might not even be one.

In the digital age, nonfiction books are less a way to make money and more of an in-depth business card that describes your philosophy on whatever industry you're trying to revolutionize.

Nobody gets rich from book sales. They get rich from people reading their book and becoming inspired to do business with them. In that respect, you should actually hope people find it torrent-worthy, as any negligible loss in revenue that represents will surely be offset by people who want you to teach them your way around women.

Your boy,

Someone can take screen shots, make a new PDF. Making a paper back would make it harder (plenty of people scan then torrent it). However, are you going to actually make any more money with that? Seems to me that on a small scale, which I assume your book will be, overheard costs would exceed the missed pirating revenue. And the more popular it becomes, the more likely you can sell future works to larger audiences.

Hobbit i am gonna make you my publicist, is like me worrying about getting into an accident, without knowing how to drive, a license etc... thanks dude! i am getting paranoid for no reason, thanks again...
