I was wondering if there were more DJ's on the forum, and realised how amazing this is. In my opinion, being a DJ gives you the most attention of the club that you are playing. You will not have to do a thing to step onto a girl, because they will do it as soon as you're done and you get yourself a drink. I never give them anything at all, and always play very hard to get. They seem to absolutely love this, while they can brag about me against their friends ''oh i got his number'' whatever shit. Combining this with my new PUA techniques, it now is even easier to read IOI's, play them out or whatever.

Girls are all over you and you end up kissclosing like 4-5 girls a night.

Seriously, YOU should become DJ.

lol you should become a DJ ONLY if you know good music and/or work towards making a good vibe for wherever you're playing, this is what a DJ's job is, not to stand there looking like a turd collecting #'s. Although it is a nice bonus to having the job.

Also if you wanna get a lot of tail play in a top40 club. Hotter girls (more of them) plus you can get away with playing god-awful music and not even mixing.

I've wanted to be a DJ. How'd you get into it? How did you learn to DJ? etc.

I am a DJ but I am still in the beginning stages of it. Haven't gotten any gigs yet. Still working on my skills but I am fairly decent at spinning house and psy-trance. If you are looking into getting into DJing I recommend going with digital instead of vinly or CDs because you can do so much more with digital and it is much cheaper to get into. You can get a good digital DJ controller for $500 whereas getting good CD decks and a good mixer costs closer to $5000.

im a DJ dont get into it for the girls do it because of your love for music, it's pretty sad and shallow otherwise. if ur gonna be a laptop dj you will be a joke to real DJs as they have sync buttons which is basically cheating. CDs are the best way really if you want to be taken seriousily

Don't see it as a quick way to score phone numbers, actually getting to play at clubs will take you a long time of practice and getting your name out there!

That, and some proper DJ gear will cost you quite a sum of money (most clubs will have their own gear though), controllers are pretty affordable but a pair of CDJ-350's and a DJM-350 will set you back about €1500.
And that's just the gear, you'll need some music to play too

But please, don't let this scare you away, start with a decent controller and practice, you will LOVE this hobby! And yes, the girls do find it interesting.

I DJ and do gigs. If you wanna take it up, don't do it to get girls or even money. Do it because you actually like it. Because is very time consuming. Took me about 8 months to fully learn the decks. On top of that, you have to be always reaching new music. My house seriously sounds like a night club every day.

For the guys that DJ, stop using the sync button and actually learn how to beat match. You have to know how to do this because when switching DJs you guys might use different decks and you have to beat match the song thats being played. And you can't use the sync button on two different decks.

You should choose what you want to do based on your passions. If you have passions in life and follow through with them, girls will naturally find you attractive.

I work as a self-employed night-life photographer and love it. Gives everyone in the club a reason to talk to me. Just working on some routines I can use effectively :)
