I'm not quite sure you want to deprive your body of food that it needs. Overeating and undereating are both unhealthy. Try googleing the Cunninham Equation. It should give you a few calculators to determine how much food your body needs based on a few factors such as body fat, activity level, etc.

Also, another idea is to rethink the kinds of food you eat. A salad before your actual meal is not only healthy, but also helps to make you full faster so you don't feel like you need so much of the other foods that make up the main course. Combine smart eating with the Cunningham equation and a good fitness routine, cut sodas (or pop, whatever) out of your diet, and you should be well on your way.

Thanks.. I kinda have gotten addicted to sugar but I'm tryna stay away form it but it's really hard lol (sounds fat) Im doing the p90x DVD plus I go out to play soccer fr monday to Friday so I'm pretty active but the weight isn't moving off my body because of how much I eat so I was wondering If u have a special technique that well help my metabolism work faster because I mostly feel the food in my belly like 5 hours after I have eaten something.
My face has recently starring to get puffed up so is there a technique u uses to approach this problem?

You should eat less carbohydrates and fat. Couple of easy steps for you:

1) divide your meals into 6/7 meals a day. And eat equal portions!
2) at as few sugars as possible (no white bread etc)
3) drink green thea!
4) WORK OUT!
5) no more eating before you go to bed
6) drink only water

This should really help man. Try to eat lean meat such as lean chicken and turkey.

Yes you can drink water/tea before bed.

Well a person that doesnt work out needs 2,500 calories a day to stay on the same weight. Someone who works out everyday needs about 3,200. If you want to lose weight, you need about 2,000 a day. Divide that amount into 6 diferent small meals, so that would be around 300 calories per meal. Hope this helps u out man!

Be carefull with generalized info likethis. Without knowing his height, weight and age noone can tell you about how much is your maintenance. Even then you still have a rough estimate.

Frequent meals(6-7) is not needed.
Avoiding certain carbs is not needed.
Eating before bed makes you fat is also a myth.

Overall food consumption is what matter. Meal timing and size dont

I've also read that if you drink ice water as soon as you wake up and approximately 30 mins before breakfast, it kick starts your metabolism. I've never done it but it's worth a shot. I still recommend taking a look at the Cunningham equation to figure out with more precision how much your caloric intake should be.

Anyone will lose weight, doesnt matter how tall or how many u weight. I dont say it makes you fat, it just isnt the best timing.
Frequent meals is good to have a certain scedule and gives u the oppertunity to learn to eat less in time. Avoiding certain carbs is most definitely needed.

But hey since ur the gym guy here why don't u help him out. I mean like i dont know what im talking about. I wasted my time in the gym all these years, please tell me how i can become shredded!

Ok don't get on your high horse. I simply wanted to correct your advice. If I was giving incorrect information I'd sure hope people would correct me for my sake and others.

Anyways the 2000 calorie deal is to generic . What I mean is for example a guy with 3000 calorie maintenance will be on a whole 1000 calorie deficit. That's a lot. What if there maintenance is a lot higher?

And I don't know about your schedule but for me it's easier to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. I tried the 6 meals a day thing to be able to eat more and well it's more of a hassle than 3 meals.

And timing is irrelevant really is. Just like protein shake after workout is not even needed. Or the whole high gi food after workout. Just a myth.

In regards to carbs, you could eat all clean if you want but not needed.

Here have a read about bad/good carbs.

And I'm no way the gym guy I'm just passing of information that I know

Yeah I can understand your points, but i'm more than just fitness. I'm more into the bodybuilding.

The calorie intake is based on an AVERAGE person, if you eat less then 2,500 than you will lose weight, if you eat more you gain weight.. Intake isn't that important, but it certainly is better to take some thing pre- and postworkout. Same goes for when you wake up, taking a proteinshake with oats is the best there is, because of the body that needs fuel.

With 6-7 meals I keep my overall food intake more consistent, so that i'm not super hungy or have the feeling that I ate too much at once. Again, all the knowledge i have comes from Simply Shredded and other sites/vids from bodybuilders.

If you just simple want to lose weight you should eat more frequently and smaller portions.. True story man seriously.
