I have a 2,5 yr relationship.

It feels like a one-itis. I had many girlfriends before, but never really loved them.

But what makes a one-itis a one-itis? Am i clinging on, on something i should've let go a long time ago?

I want to know.

I'm pretty sure, by definition, you can't have oneitus for a girl you're currently having sex with.

I always liked this description of the term: "An unhealthy romantic obsession with a single person. Usually accompanied by un-reciprocated affection and completely unrealistic idealization of the said person."

Nine times out of ten, oneitus develops because a guy gets dumped (or breaks up with a girl and then regrets it). You'll also occasionally see it in guys who have been firmly friend-zoned by their attractive female friends. It's not something that occurs within a healthy relationship.

What is the difference between your gf and some random girl you banged? your gf is your best friend, you have a bond with her, and a friendship. Its not unlike a friendship with a best guy friend, the difference is you have sex with you r gf lol

This is why for the most part men and women cannot be just friends, because men either want sex, or they want an emotional relationship and sex (gf/bf relationship) with a girl, there is not such thing as best friends when it comes to women and men because men cant accept being just friends.

You have no disease don't worry haha but remember that love can cloud your thought process and make you act weak, make you act very beta!
