I did this last night with one set following the "Spells" opener. It went over really well. So well that I'm going to try it again tonight. This is a mod of a true story that happened to me, but ghosts and supernatural stuff really grab people's attention. And it's got everything except preselection in it. I'd add it in, but it's already almost too long.

PUA: Do you guys believe in ghosts?

HB: blah blah

PUA: Well get this, I used to be in the military and my job made me responsible for a lot of expensive electronics. As a matter of fact, one of my buddies even discovered that we had access to a ghost detector! Apparently the military’s second biggest threat after terrorism is ghosts.

HB: hahaha

PUA: No, but seriously, my friend found an EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) detector, which is the same thing that professional ghost hunters use to explore haunted houses. So what would you if you found out you had access to a ghost detector? (to target)

HB Target: (She starts to answer, you cut her off)

PUA: (To Target)Well you don’t look like the adventurous type and I don’t want you boring-up my story so I’ll just tell you what I did:

(smile and stack)

I grabbed two of my best friends, looked up places that were supposed to be haunted nearby, and we decided to go ghost hunting at this closed down hotel near Virginia Beach that we found on Google. So we gear up and we leave right after work to get there before nightfall (because everyone knows ghosts only kill people at night), but we get lost on the way and by the time we get there it’s already dark. I’m not going to lie, we were all a little scared, but we were already there and we had the damn EMF machine so we sucked it up and just went in. The door was locked, but the windows were smashed to we went in through one of those and we explore the inn for a while and nothing really spectacular happens. I start to get bored and disappointed and was just about to suggest leaving when all of the sudden I hear something fall on the floor! I look back and my friend C.J., who was carrying the ghost detector, was on the ground screaming blood fucking murder! My heart was racing like I was on a roller coaster, but scared as I was I rush over as fast as I could to help him with whatever the hell was happening. I calmed him down and he said that the EMF readings on the machine started going haywire and then he felt someone grab his leg and he fell! But then after closer inspection we found out that the poor guys shoelaces got caught in a loose floorboard and the big dummy tripped! We laughed about it (mostly directed at C.J.) and then we went home and chalked the ghost story up to a bust. Any of you ever been somewhere really haunted?

i love it dude. a good chance to neg them is after you say the ghosts are the governments second biggest threat if they buy into it a little bit

If you want it to include pre-selection say your two best friends are girls! And how you protected them etc..

your ex, and you really liked her, and you protected her. And
you already conveyed that you are the leader of men because
you were in the military, AND you were put in charge of all that
expensive equipment.

Great story! I was never in the military, nor do I look like I was, so mine will be a little modified. Great stuff

I'm wonderin if you should have left the story open to the possibility that ghost are real.

Alternate ending:

She said the EMF went haywire , and felt someone grab her leg then fell. We were all spooked, so we got the fuck out of there. When we got back to work the next day my homegirl showed me bruises on her leg, it was in a shape of a hand.

And maybe for a punchline you can just start laughing at the end, and everyone would think you were like lying and you just say believe what you want, but I ain't goin back to that house again.

I was wondering if that was more suspensful....but yeah I love the story and already have it modded to fit me
