Hey i'm pretty new to pua and am getting a bit stuck on reaching the hook point with my day game. I was trying an opinion opener i was thinking about, based around trying to settle a bet with a mate about whether women are more attracted to hugh grant or indiana jones. Apparently everyone says indi.. What do you guys think?
The other one which seems to get a conversation going is asking if she knows anywhere i can get some new shoes, going off to meet some mates ect..

opening isn't all that hard, you just have to make an opening for the transition to happen. One of the easier ways of doing that is while you are using your opening routine thing you screen the person. Try to find something interesting about that person. And go on from there into a normal conversation.

Transitioning from an opinion opener is easier than asking directions because with opinions they will share some personal information with you. So youre not starting from scratch.

With asking directions etcetera it is necessary to already know your transition for the highest chance of succeeding.

TO be honest OP.. don't used 100% canned questions/openers.

The shoe thing is over done. It used to work but now girls have heard it since so many people use the internet and websites like this now-a-days.

Pick out something about her you really like. Does she have a piercing in an awkward spot that looks painful? Ask her if it hurt and drop it into a conversation of you knowing a girl that said it was super painful. Does she have a piece of fur on? You can go with something like "I really hope that isn't real fur or I'd be mad!". Does her bikini not match? You could go along many different routes there.

It really depends if the girl is a 10,9,8, etc. How her body language is before you approach and who she's with.
