Got this girls number on POF, any gd suggestions of good text openers to use directly from online number close?

In my opinion, regardless of how you got the number, the first text should always be something funny, and it should be a message that seems as though you're not expecting a reply.

I'll give an example;
I got a number from a HB last night off POF, she had sent it a few hours before, so I sent a text right away.

ME: Hey Caitlin, thanks again for helping me win my bet! I owe you half my winnings!

In this situation I used a member named Darth Vader's routine where you can re-open with a HB when the messages have slowed to a stop.
"Hey thanks for helping me win a bet with my buddy. "
So I used that as an inside joke with her. I find creating an inside joke with her makes it easier for her to remember you. You can make an inside joke out of anything you talked about with her. Then end the message with your name so she knows who it is!
This is just the way I choose to go about first texts.

That's a great way to re-open, how would you progress from that into getting a date out of her?

I can't take credit for the re-opener, like I said, it's Darth Vader's.
But when I go to ask for a date, I just do it.

Me: Meet me at ______ at 8 for drinks! Dress fancy, it's gonna be like the prom!

If they can't make it, no big deal! Tease them a little, tell them they've lost some points, then talk to them in a could days. Open with another funny text, connect a little, and tell them to meet you somewhere new that same night!

To be honest my texting style is pretty much from Magnetic Messaging with my own personal touch.
