How common is the you look familiar line? Is it well known as a pick-up line? I'm a student so my variation of it is "hey, weren't you in Mr. Sullivan's history class? You weren't, wow because you look exactly like this girl I saw/met in his class" is this bad, decent, good? I've only used it once and the girl was laughing, smiling, but I made the mistake of letting the conversation die and didn't get a number. What are your opinions on this line? I typically use it on a bus right after class because that way it sounds realistic. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

I've had female friends tell me they hate when guys do the "you look familiar" thing. It's very transparent. Girls know if they've met you or not. At least, that's what she told me.

I think it COULD work, but it wouldn't be my go to approach.

If you like the "you look familiar" line, kick it up a notch. Go ahead and say Hey - you look like my SISTER!! Its random. She will laugh, and its a disqualifier. Immediately stack though if you let it get stale it will have the added bonus of getting awkward. "hey you look like my sister! thats crazy! Oh God I really need to get back to my friends ...but wait you're not going to believe this, here let me show you her picture, but first I wanted to ask you - (multi thread)."

haha. then when you initiate an F close she says "you'd fuck your sister. thats just sick" and leaves

Haha, I also use this one a lot! 'hey, aren't you the sister from X??' they usually say no (duh) and move on from there.. I once had a situation where she said yes to that random name lol, then I told her I was just foolin around with names
