I was gaming this girl I know from school, but things just died off over the past month and I have not texted in her in two weeks. I was wondering what type of text I should send to initiate a meetup without seeming random or weird. I know it's not always the best to text first, but it's my only option at this point in time.

I have exactly the same problem! It started with fun and flirty texts and we always talked with a little flirty vibe when we met each other in school. But like a month after, the spark died somehow and we barely texted each other anymore. When we meet in school, it was and is often a short exchange of words, often a neg by me, and then we move on. Maybe i should try negging less and being more right on, like coming of more sexual?

Anyway Recast, sorry for not answering your question, but at least we are two in the same situation!

Try to frame the date as catching up over coffee. Tell her you're trying to reconnect with friends, and you would love to grab coffee at night sometime.

This is probably the easiest way to reconnect, but be careful of the overly casual coffee date. I've had this problem before. You run the risk of being put in the friend zone if you don't escalate the physical interaction and make more than small talk while having coffee.

I've done this before with both good and bad results. Casual coffee is easy because it is a pretty low investment for the girl, but you can always escalate it into a fun date.

Good luck

I was thinking sending a text along the lines of "Long time no talk, tell me how is your new job?". It's worded differently as to make me in control as I say "tell me", it also opens up for her to ask me about my job and invite her to coffee. I just hope to build comfort with this date, and hopefully lead on to another outing.

A simple: 'Heya, hows your summer going? mines ... (boring/interesting/fun etc)'

If she replies then say what you've got going on in the next few weeks and then also when you're free and if she'd fancy a catchup or whatever. Play it cool and theres no reason why she'd refuse, but save the proper fun and flirting for the actual date.

Easy peasy :)
