and maybe 60% 2nd response...Which is huge.

I must be a horrible transitioner, but this line doesn't work well for me. I get some replies, but pretty much 0 second replies, or the convo dies. I've got better replies and convos saying:

"Ur adorable :) Go onto the next one now and see what they have to say"

Didn't think that'd work but it's worked fairly well, lol.

Actually many of my fucks have been girls i randomly wrote on Facebook.

Nevertheless, with the new facebook timeline shit, any messages you receive from a NON-friend ends up in another folder of messages which isn't highlighted

basically if you write the girl, she will not get the notification of your message, which considerably lowers the response rate

how you solve this problem?

I have never tried Darth Vaders opener yet but I already can tell that it WILL WORK. I used to intrigue lots of chicks back in the Myspace days by simply teasing them a tiny bit on a photo of theirs just to peak their curiosity. I found that when I posted a comment that didn't make it clear whether i was insulting them or complimenting them it would be most successful.

I chuckle every time a girl I would never had a chance with had I sent them a generic opener messages me back with "what?, which pictures? don't tell me it's XYZ, i knew it was a bad photo!!"

haha.

Darth Vader, this line is gold. Although I imagine at some point I"m gonna use it on someone whose heard it before, but then I'm just gonna go with it and say "yeah, seriously get rid of that profile photo, it's pretty hideous". ha ha

yeah, I think the opening line is gold. However I'm still experementing with the second message. Hardly anyone replies off it, they're probably like, you're fucking lame.

I usually use this as the opener and then follow the first part of the routine posted by GekkoStates in the 'Survival Guide For Online Dating' thread. It's worked really well on a few girls, but here's an example of how it worked perfectly:

I just started using this line and I get a response from most. But the second message ususally never gets a response.
I find a joke works just as well and usually leads to more questions i.e
Me: Why was the pie sitting in the corner?
Her: I don't know
Me: He was meat'n' potato
Her: Haha! That isn't funny OR I don't get it.
Me: Oh really...and you can do better? OR Ah, and here was me thinking you looked clever.

I find these little things give me a greater response on the second and third messages, making it easier to spark conversaion rather than script.
