So I decided to upgrade my POF account, so that I could see if my sent messages are either read, unread, and deleted or not.
And since I have upgraded I've come to the conclusion that it's is most likely my profile that is the reason I don't get a lot of responses to my messages. (I get somewhere around 2 out of every 10 messages responded to)
I tried to follow Derek Cajun's profile suggestions from his book. But ever since I've done that, I even get less of the less attractive women messaging me.

Take some pictures which make you look your age or older and showcase your height. That should fix half your problem right there.

Your profile is mediocre outside of that. Too much: I'm.... and I..... show, dont tell it makes you look try hard. The PUA shit I see that you put in there in incongruent with the rest of your profile.

If you're 6'4" the light switch in that pic by the door is DAMN high.

Do pics over that demonstrate your height. Tall is hot most of the time. You look lije a shorter guy lying about his height. HUGE turn off for women.

I'm still really new at this, but here's my feedback. I don't mean to be offensive with it, I'm just being honest.

1. It seems like there's a direct conflict between who you really are and who you're trying to be. The pictures on your profile make you look like a really nice, friendly guy (you certainly seem like a pretty friendly guy), but then lines like this seem forced and contrived based on the top part of the profile - " If I send you a weird message, I'm probably just bored and f*cking with you. Although, you might be able to get my attention if your response is funny enough." I think you're look is a bit immature and makes you look about 12 years old. I had the same problem as I've got a very young looking face as well. My advice would be to cut your hair shorter but still keep the messy look, it will make you look older. Also I agree with the previous comments about you looking 5'5, if you're genuinely 6'4 emphasise the crap out of that, being tall is a huuuge advantage.
2. While it's good to have pictures with girls, your pictures to me look like friend pictures - i.e you're one of those indie/alternative kids who hangs around with girls a lot. I put up a picture of myself with two girls either side of me and I'm doing a cocky/funny grin, which worked to great effect.
3. Stuff like this "Let's go on an adventure to a park, where we can go on the swings... I bet I can swing higher than you!Or we could fly to Australia and build a tree fort in the outback" again just seems canned in my opinion. I started off with stuff like this to no effect, then I started reading decent material and found threads like Whoopie's Facebook Method Field Tested Approved which work to great effect. For a first date I'd put something like "Surprise me" but then again that's just me.
4. You also come off across a bit desperate by posting contradictory statements such as - "I'm an easing going guy who enjoys making people laugh, But don't worry if that isn't your thing, I can also be "that loveable a**hole" who will treat you like a bratty sister until you impress me".

Everybody has their own style, this feedback is based on my style which I'm developing based mainly on Gambler's stuff.

You seem like a cool guy though and I'll be following your posts, I've just started gaming on POF too.

Dude I can't believe you're the same age as me... I dont mean this in a dick way at all but if you're hair was blonde you'd look almost identical to my cousin who's 15.. Id seriously consider some shorter hair and I'd go to the gym, it'll create some more positive attention for you.. You also look like someone who goes to a lot of concerts.. try to take some cool pictures there it'll put your best foot forward.

I definitely thing the pictures need some changing, try get some from a lower angle so that i emphasises your height which is obviously a major advantage. Yes the tongue should be tucked neatly back into your mouth also.

I think the asshole comment could be changed or maybe go with what has already been suggested and just delete that whole paragraph.

I'm finiding I am having the same problem. I have a poor ratio between girls viewing the profile and actually messagin back. I tried a ridiculous approach in writing it but I'm getting the feeling it is way to long and I should completely change the approach, as well as the pictures perhaps.
