eat right? how? i mean its not easy to pick out the right foods at a grocery store especially if you don't eat raw vegetables.

why on earth don't you eat raw veggies, they're good for you and keeps your fat intake down, the lower your fat intake the easier it is to cut.

if you CHOOSE to not eat healthy because of one of the many BS reasons people give, that's your problem, being cut isn't easy, if you cant hack it that's on you.

No, I just don't like raw vegetables, its the taste too. There has to be ways around that, like idk V8?. So you're saying I'm going to get fat if I don't eat raw veggies?

You could find a way to cook the vegetables that makes them taste better or deal with the fact that it tastes like shit. Sucks to diet anyway

I just don't get how I can go from 120 lbs to suddenly getting fat because I don't eat raw veggies. Being cut may not be easy, but it aint what's getting you laid either. I do want a nice body but I aint doing it for a b!tch. If Tommy Lee can F@ck chicks with his scrawny ass so can I. I'd rather find a way to accentuate with dress.

he never said you're going to get fat if you don't eat raw vegtables. He said it will keep your fat intake down making it EASIER to shred.

The thing is, I'm looking to clean bulk, where I don't have to gain too much fat. I will figure this out soon. If I have to use a blender, i will.

Increase cardio will strip fat revealing abs.

Eat a high protein but low fat/carb diet.

Work out all your body not just arms. It really isn't a good look to be out of proportion.

I try to do Chest/bis, shoulders/tris,legs and back, on different days. Work out abs after every workout.

I do 6-8 reps of 3 sets of each exercise, one workout consists of 6 exercises.

Also, what is key once you get into working out is changing exercises up. After a few weeks your body will be used to the exercises and gains will become limited, you plateau. So change up the exercises or body part combination.

Finally, if I could only ever do one exercise it would be a chin up, great for upper body.

Push Up > Chin Up.

Triceps are 3x bigger than Biceps. Bigger Arms.
Push Ups work Chest, Chin Up works Lats. Ask Fabio how a killer chest works for him.

Oh, hey, Does anyone know how to get a big house, a fast car and a million dollars in the bank without working for it? I just don't like the working part.....

Re Faust23

Chin up works your lats and biceps. Change the hand grip and you have lats and tris.

Push ups are great too, but I could only pick one exercise. Push ups would indeed be my 2nd choice. In my experience I have had greater gains in size and strength from chin ups.

That doesnt make sense, one is effort the other is something that you put in your mouth that makes you gag. And I'm pretty damn skinny anyways, and I don't intend to gain fat when I start working out. I may just do cardio to see to it that I don't. I've seen a lot of skinny people posting pics on fb showing slight results in 30 days. In fact people I've talked to said nothing about eating raw veggies, but fruit....

Something to remember there is a big difference between what we consider "healthy" and what we consider "in-shape". Example; most people would consider body builders as people who are "in-shape" to the maximum degree however they are not very healthy.

Now what I do regarding my diet and this works for me doesn't mean it will work for you, and I do get comments about being in shape and I am physically fit, is I eat normally. I don't go out of my way to eat "healthy", I do take protein and creatine supplements but when it comes to eating I don't really think what effect it will have on my physique.

However, I do ensure I work my balls of in the gym. And this has worked for me. If you can go low fat, no carb and high protein that's great but if you can't just make sure you put in the effort with the work out.

You won't get maximum results from this but it is perhaps more realistic.

BUT NOTE I AM IN MY EARLY 20s SO MY METABOLISM MAY BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH THE CALORIES AN OLDER PERSON CANNOT.

I'm going to assume that since you're on PUA forums you're doing all of this to look good and get more ladies.

If you really want to look good then you should be doing full body workouts. If you haven't been working out frequently (which is my guess, since you're on here asking for advice), then it's very easy to bulk up using a full body workout. Protein will help. A lot. But it's not essential. I do recommend whey protein.

Here's the deal, you can do a full body workout 40 mins a day, three times a week and greatly improve your physique. Doing this has its advantages. Since you're not pushing each muscle so hard, you need less recovery time. It burns a ton of calories, exhausting every muscle will cause you to lose body fat -- quickly at first. Your body will also look more natural, which is sexy. You won't be disproportionate.

My routine is something like this:
5-10 minutes of intense cardio as a warm up.
Rep 3 sets per machine in my gym (it's a small gym for students).
Set 1 12-15 reps at about 50%
Set 2 10-12 reps at about 75%
Set 3 rep to failure at 80-90%
After each set I do light cardio for about 1 min then check heart rate. If I'm under about 165 (will be different for each age) then I do more intense cardio to get my heart rate up to about 180. I need to do this more early on.
After I've worked all 30ish machines, I hop on a tread mill, jog for 5 minutes then walk about a quarter mile.
Leave the gym and walk around the block till my heart rate is reasonable.
Every week I change the order I do the machines. Since this is exhausting (you're keeping your heart rate 80-90% for at least 40 minutes), by the time you get to the end, you will be drastically decreasing the weight you're lifting.

This is a good workout routine to look good. It's not going to get you to body builder status and it doesn't burn enough calories to let you eat whatever you want, but you will look much better after a few weeks and feel worlds better. Also, you can do this at any fitness level.

The downsides to this workout are that: You can't do it more then 3 times a week. If you do this without proper rest, then you will overtrain and lose muscle and maybe even hurt yourself. It's hard to focus a single muscle group. It's exhausting. I can lift weights for a couple hours pretty easy, but after about 50 to 70 minutes of this I am completely exhausted.

But here's the deal. Unless you're willing to diet and change your lifestyle, you're not going to look like Chris Hemsworth. If you want a body like that then you need to carefully control everything you eat, then do targeted muscle training for a couple hours each day with a specific schedule to map out muscle groups and recovery. If you don't can't stand eating decent and don't want to spend every day at the gym, pick my schedule then go for a jog/walk/hike/swim on your days off, at least. You'll look a lot better, be more confident and more attractive. But without good game, it won't get you laid.

If by "skinny" you mean you have poor muscle mass, I really would not recommend the above routine, keeping your body at a catabolic state is really not good for mass building.

Now, Seeing your abs is 90% being lean, you can be small "skinny" and still have too much fat to see your abs.

that's why they say abs happen in the kitchen, almost all body builders will tell you, they only workout a hour or two a day, the rest is just eating right.

most guys two two stages of training, bulking and cutting, sounds like you need to spend some time bulking.

Keep your weights high and your reps low, eat a ton of protein and try and keep your carbs as fats under control. I would do that for around 3 months then cut, fats as low as you can possibly get them, carbs also low and take in protein to try and keep the muscle on.

you HAVE to eat to gain, and you have to keep your diet in check 100% of the time to get good abs.

Check out OTIS' sticky, he has a great break down from dieting both cutting and bulking.

....and if my 3 year old can eat his veggie, you can too :p

If you only train arms you are going to be out of proportion and look ridiculous, you have to train full body, back, legs, arms, and chest, judging by most people that go to the gym and do typical bro routines (chest arms and abs) don't last long and give up because they they don't have a good diet and their routines are shit.

If you want a good balanced body you need to do these things

1.Get a good routine (chest arms and abs is a shit routine)

2.Eat lots of good food (this is not an excuse to get fat you should eat 500 calories above your maintenance level to give your body optimum condition for growth)

3. Cut the excess fat off once you reach your goal weight

4. Don't listen to any advice that your friends or family say, getting muscular is not complicated, eat your food and lift heavy

I get the feeling you will not last long in the gym,if you are not serious don't even bother starting.

Now that I've written that out feel free to ignore everything I've said and go do your stupid piss poor routine,if you ever get serious, this will always be here to help you
