I've had good success so far at getting at least 1-2 dates a week via okcupid.

Usually I go for the date in about 5 messages.

My question is : should I text her between the last mail setting up the date and the actual date ?

For example : I set up a date with a girl in Tuesday and I'm meeting her on Friday night. Should I text her in the meantime in order to keep contact ? If yes, what kind of text as we haven't seen each other in person it seems a bit weird to me...

Yes you should. Ask questions get to know her better. Ask her how her day went. Ask her about her hobbies and things she enjoys doing. Just keep in touch so it doesn't fizzle.

I love text game, I usually prefer it to online messaging.

MY favorite is after you get her number.

You: Alright I texted you, now what is your last 2 wishes? (Gene in a bottle)
Her: Who is this??
You: [blank] from okcupid, you got one more wish.
Her: Ok well, (and then she can lead the conversation into whatever or she will roleplay)

Add smilies too.(they help bring text to life, can help with negs, jokes, and sarcasm)

Don't speed text. (If she text you 1 min after you texted wait 2 mins, or if she took 15 mins take 20 mins) its a constant game. You can break it if the conversation is good but for rapport building I would space it out. Also it builds DHV by you having things to do that your not texting, portraits an attractive lifestyle.
