I've noticed something strange that I haven't been able to figure out myself. How come sometimes when a girl flirts with you, and you flirt back she freezes up (not in a good way)? What would be the more appropriate way to respond?

Wow, thats a good question! Some girls will flirt but aren't used to receiving verbal compliments back or aren't comfortable with the idea of flirting even though they are doing it subconciously. I would give non-verbal IOIs back to her, like facing her more directly, longer periods of eye contact, light kino, smiling, etc. :)
